Islam

Islam is a truth revealed by the Almighty God through His messengers and His books. The final scripture is the Quran, which is a miracle that demonstrates God's existence and affirms His word. The Quran contains about 1000 verses related to science that match modern scientific understanding. It is unlikely that someone 1400 years ago, without scientific tools, could have provided such information. The word "Islam" is mentioned in the Quran, as stated in Surah Al-'Imran 3:19, which states, "Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam." Another relevant verse is Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:3, which states, "...and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.”

Interestingly, the name of the religion is not mentioned in the Bible, but by the descriptions of statements from messengers, we can conclude that their religion was also Islam, as they commanded the people to submit to the will of God.

Jesus consistently followed God's will throughout his life, but some key verses illustrate this from his public ministry onward:

  • John 6:38: "For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me". This verse directly states his purpose was to follow God's will.

  • John 4:34: Jesus said, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to finish his work". This shows his life and purpose were centered on fulfilling God's plan.

  • Luke 2:52: "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man". This verse indicates his growth in understanding and aligning with God's will as a youth.

  • Matthew 7:21: "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven". Jesus reinforces the importance of obedience to God's will.

  • Matthew 26:39: In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prays, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will" [Source not directly available, but this is a well-known verse from the Gospels]. This shows his ultimate submission to God's will, even in his final hours.
